1/21/05 Friday
I went down for radiation today, all seems to be going well there. I have been suffering nose bleeds, but the skin on
my nose has not yet been burned as they have expected. I am just over half way through so they do expect burning.
I also met with my primary oncologist today and I am sad to say it didn't go that well. Upon arrival my primary concern
was the bad nausea. The concern quickly changed after they had examined me. They found that the tumor in my neck is growing,
growing large enough that it is visible to the naked eye. The solution to this is to restart chemo. Due to my negative reaction
to previous chemo treatment and not knowing the reaction of chemo and radiation at the same time they want to admit me to
the hospital on Monday where they can closely monitor me. It is so frustrating to make headway with radiation and to step
so far back with this. It really stinks but I have no choice but to do whatever the Dr's say.
I would also like to thank everybody who has supported me, from the encouraging messages on my message board,to financial
help, rides, moral support and the many many other ways in which I have been blessed with support. Thank you all very much.
